BOILED POTATO BALLS

​This recipe is a winner in our family, it is easy to prepare and as a complement to any soup as well as a side dish to any meat, poultry or tomato sauce; feel free to double the recipe and keep it for another dinner, as it freezes well.



Ingredients:

  • 4 boiled and mashed potatoes.

  • 4 raw eggs.

  • 1 cup of potato starch.

  • Salt to taste.



Directions::

  • Mix the mashed potatoes with the eggs, salt and pepper. Add the potato starch until the mixture forms a gooey dough.

  •  boil water with salt in a large pot to allow the nokedlej to expand and pour out small portions of dough in the boiling water, boil for twenty minutes without running out of water.

  • The Nokedlej tend to float upwards in the Water.

  • After 20 minutes of cooking, remove them with a slotted spoon.

  • Serve with grilled chicken, roast beef, or gravy.





Preparation: 10 minutes.

For 8-10 servings.
